Itinerary: Namur (visit citadelle) – Dinant - Namur (65 km)

When: Sunday 13 November, 10h30 – 18h30

Participation fee: 15€




Participation is limited to 25 people. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Payment: in cash, on the day.



What to bring:


- Your bike (with lights and in a good shape!)


- Water (min 1,5l)


- A consistant sandwich for the lunch and fruits/sweets for the break


We strongly recommend you to wear a bike helmet.


Biking vests and air pumps will be made available, no need to bring along yours.

Training level required: moderate

(i.e. used to doing sports a couple of times a week, used to biking in the city etc.).



Programme:

10h15 – Meeting at Namur Central Station


10h30 - 11h30 – Biking visit to Namur citadelle


11h30 - 13h30 – Biking Namur to Dinant


13h30 - 14h30 – Sandwich lunch


14h30 - 18h30 – Biking from Dinant to Namur (fruits & sweets break on the way)

Useful info if you plan arriving by train from Brussels:

Train from Brussels to Namur:


- 9h03 Brussels-Midi, arrival in Namur at 10h09



Train from Namur to Brussels:


- 18h48 Namur, arrival in Brussels at 19h50

- 18h51 Namur, arrival in Brussels at 19h57


Weekend train ticket


    
Please note that the cost of the transportation to the meeting point and back home is not included in the participation fee.

In most cases you must also pay a fee to transport your bike by train, do not forget to ask if this is required when you’re buying your ticket. The most convenient option is to buy a day ticket for your bike (8€).


Please mind that taking a bike in or out of a train at Brussels-Central is not permitted. Thus, please plan leaving in the morning and arriving in the evening at either Brussels-Nord or Brussels-Midi.
